HPT aims to overcome problems and address opportunities for improved outcomes at societal, organizational, process and individual levels.It uses systemic, rigorous analytical processes to identify and define requirements for change, determine existing obstacles and potential facilitators for specified changes, and select and develop appropriate interventions to improve outcomes.In addition to the international organization ISPI sponsors local chapters in major cites through the United States and Canada and has affiliates in Europe, Africa, and Asia as well as members in South America and Australia.The association’s members work in various types of organizations, including business, industry, government, military, education (K-12 and post secondary), non-profit and as independent consultants. Their job was to bring new products and services through both New Product Introduction and then Life Cycle Management. My moment was in the Pilot Session when I realized that the game made sense to all the players. Experienced Product Planners and Product Managers got in-depth practice facilitating meetings with “those types of people” with their functional attitude built into the Role Play Materials – and they were able to practice those team meeting facilitation skills 5 times. It was one of a series of projects for one client, all targeted on one job family: Product Management.
To support this vision HPT&E focuses on two Technology Investment Areas (TIAs): Decision Making & Expertise Development and Warrior Resilience.
Efforts supporting these areas are intended to enhance the future capabilities of Expeditionary Warfighters by conducting applied research and advanced development to: Specific areas of interest: (1) Training of critical decision making skills at the small unit leader level, to include advanced learning strategies and the enabling technologies that efficiently and effectively support learning strategies.
